Note: A total of nine regions were identified as contamination by NCBI staff. Three regions on contig3153 (72,027 bp), which accounted for ~4.1% of the contig length, appeared to be contamination by Komagataeibacter medellinensis (base pairs 23,367 - 24,829, 31,756 - 31,799, and 43,577 - 45,038), two regions on cotig3773 (16,182 bp), which accounted for ~11.4% of the contig length, appeared to be Acetobacter pasteurianus (base pairs 1 - 157, and 7,920 - 9,604), and three regions on contig3669 (18,338 bp), which accounted for ~2.7% of the contig length, appeared to be Zea mays (base pairs 4,899 - 5,087, and 5,541 - 5,670, and 15,616 - 15,778), and the whole of contig 3695 (156,355 bp) appeared to be Acetobacter sp. SLV-7 plasmid. Interestingly, the parent contamination by K. medellinensis and A. pasteurianus appeared to be due to a transposase, a common type of transposable element. These contigs were removed from the assembly for NCBI submission but are retained here for completeness.
